Hong Kong at daybreak

Sheung Wan harbourfront

My favourite time is Hong Kong at daybreak, at 6am when the city is in an equilibrium and slows down for a few hours. The pier next to the Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan offers an unobstructed view over Victoria Harbour and Kowloon side. The early morning haze softens the harsh contours of Hong Kong’s skyline. The tall building on the Kowloon side is the International Commerce Centre or better known locally as ICC, the highest commercial skyscraper in Hong Kong at 484 meters.
