I always thought that the Tiananmen Square was the largest square in China but I just figured out it is the 6th largest in the world. The largest square is the Xinghai Square in Dairen, China. But who cares. The square is big and boring. I don’t find it a particularly exciting square because it is a square with thousands of tourists trying to make a decent selfie of themselves. It would be awesome to have a Sunday farmers market or a People’s Market to invigorate the square. Anyway, this square does not change but surprisingly one thing had been added. Last time it wasn’t there, a Chinese flag in front of the Gate of Heavenly Peace, or the Forbidden City, to celebrate China’s 70th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day of the Second World War.
